Celebrate British Food Fortnight With Us

We love local here at Cheerbrook! We eat, sleep & breathe the best of British produce across our butchery, bakery, deli, farm shop & cafe.  So we will be celebrating our beautiful British produce during British Food Fortnight from 21st September - 6th October.

Here's a little more about the delicious Cheshire produce & handmade Cheerbrook delights that fill our shelves:

Our Butchery
At the heart of Cheerbrook our butchery is the foundation of the farm shop. In 2000 Andrew began to sell Angus beef on farmers markets, proving so much of a success that Cheerbrook was born.

True to it's roots all of our beef here at Cheerbrook is Aberdeen Angus, reared on the Bourne family farm at the foot of Bickerton Hill.

Across our butchery we use only British meat; lamb raised on Cheshire grass by the Moss & Massey families, free-range pork from Packington in Staffordshire & always British chicken.

Behind the scenes our team of butchers expertly prepare each cut, joint & ready to cook dish by hand with fresh ingredients.

Brimming with inspiration our butchers love to develop interesting new products you wont find anywhere but Cheerbrook. Take the beefcake, Angus beef burger, wrapped in crisp lattice puff pastry with a melting peppercorn sauce centre - ask our butchers for their recommendations on your next visit.

Our Bakery
Ian, our baker produces all of our scones, tarts, sponges, tray bakes & desserts using local free-range eggs, local Mornflake oats & fresh fruits.

Flying off the shelves, demand for Ian's sweet treats has seen the need for us to expand our bakery over the summer to expand our offering of tempting bakes & desserts.

Whilst we love experimenting with new recipes the classic British teatime treats are always a firm favourite with our customers - freshly baked scones, a classic raspberry Bakewell & comforting crumble are staples on our shelves.

Our Deli
A pastry lovers paradise our delicatessen is filled with handmade sausage rolls, pork pies & Scotch eggs all made right here at Cheerbrook with free-range pork from our butchery & local free range eggs. As well as firm favourites our specialty range keep your weekly pastry pick me up interesting, which will be your favourite?

Our Cafe
Showcasing the best of Cheerbrook our cafe menu uses ingredients fresh from our butchery, deli & farm shop. Our classic Cheerbrook breakfast makes for the ultimate British brunch with fresh locally baked bread, free-range eggs, handmade pork sausages & traditional cured bacon.

Or for an afternoon pick me up enjoy a pot of steaming hot tea with a freshly baked scone, local jam & Clotton Hall cream - quintessentially British.

Across our farm shop, butchery, deli & café we work with over 40 local suppliers, to bring you the best local food the region has to offer. With locally made fudge, hand pressed cider & freshly baked bread; fill your basket with delicious local food & drink, here at Cheerbrook. Bidlea Dairy of Holmes Chapel, supply fresh milk to our farm shop & café. The Brown family have been raising the Bidlea girls for three generations on their farm in Holmes Chapel; the herd’s bloodline can be traced back 100 years! With over 900 Holstein-Friesian cows, current farmers Adam & Becky have created the Bidlea brand, taking milk & cream into local farm shops, delis & cafés. Most recently Bidlea have ventured into ice cream production, in their farm based dairy. Grazing on luscious Cheshire grass, the herd spend the majority of the year outside, producing milk rich in protein & butter fat. Happy cows make the best milk! Taking pride in their husbandry, the Brown family's happy herd produce full flavoured, nutritious milk. A relatively new addition to Cheerbrook, Bidlea now supply all of our farm shop & café milk, as well as their rich double cream, used by our bakers in our fresh cream cakes, egg custard tarts & quiches. We’re proud to support local farmers, just like Bidlea, in their diversification!
